Are you in a web developer? Do you really take your web design proposals seriously?  A major step in winning good projects is the proposal phase.  Certain points have to be noted  while writing a good web design proposal so that put yourself and your capabilities in the best possible way, whether you’re providing what you have to offer, in an e-mail message, or a complete proposal.

The seven tips to write the best proposal (request for proposal), and be specific about the problems that need your help.  A detailed study of their needs would help you to give them the best explanation and thereby create an everlasting impression on the client.

Do necessary research

One of the most important things, worth mentioning, is your in-depth understanding of the client and their needs. This is the first step to make an appeal. Do a thorough research and know more about the company, review their RFP as to how you can meet their needs better than anyone else.

Try to be specific about your capabilities

You can effectively present your capabilities by a timely and proper reference back to the client’s needs, which you identify in their request. You can give them a clear cut idea about your experience in handling each item.  The more specific you are, the easier it would be for the client to make a timely decision and the more are the chances of getting hired.

Examples and references will help you

Give your potential client visual examples of past relevant work if possible, referencing one of their stated needs for every example. They want to see what you can do, but most importantly, the client wants to see what you can do for them. It can also speak volumes if you offer references before being asked.

Make an irresistible offer
Based on the information that you have, you can provide a cost and deliverable information that’s complete and accurate as possible. Propose a detailed timeline for the work. If you quote per project, try to sketch everything that’s included in the estimate. You should also set a time limit for the proposal. This results in a quick action from the client’s side or at least a request for an extension, which you can decide whether or not to grant.

Proofread

Proofread your proposal before submitting it. There is nothing worse than a proposal with typo and grammatical errors.

Be Accessible

Make sure you provide the complete contact information and invite questions. You can even have a phone meeting to discuss their questions or concerns, after their initial review.

Outline Next Steps

Add a catchy conclusion that triggers a call to action. The conclusion should invite them to contact you soon so that you can tell them what you need in order to get started (a signed contract, a deposit or so).

The key factor of any proposal is making the potential clients understand that you realize their needs, and then convincing them that you’re the best choice for their job.

Do your proposal keeping the above said tips in mind , you will have the best proposal in hand soon.
