Asian360 makes it easy to find people who share similar hobbies and interests, search for romantic connections or establish new business contacts. One can also create and join a wide variety of groups and events, reconnect with old friends or even send personal mails.

Asian360 is an online directory that connects people through social networks.

This is an online directory that connects people through diverse networks of academic and geographic centers. Facebook is a social directory that enables people to share information. Facebook helps people better understand their world by giving them access to the information that is most relevant to them. Facebook should be designed to limit the availability of users profile to only his friends and other people on his networks. This simple but important security measure promotes local networking and makes sure that his information is seen by people he wants to share it with, and not by people he does not want.
User Registration
New users have to create an account to login in to this community site. They have to fill up a form for this by entering their name, network type, email address and password. A confirmation mail will be sent after this procedure.
User Signup
After registration, the user can login to the site by entering his user name and password. If the user forgets his password he has an option to enter his email address and the password will be sent to that email address. Once a user has logged in to his account, he has to do the following:

A user can search for one person either by entering his name and searching within a particular group or by using an advanced search by entering some more details.
Browse
Unregistered users are able to browse for registered users and basic profile pictures. But if they require more info, they will have to register. Like the usual search criteria of such sites, the search options of Asian 360 consist of the following:

With the help of a map in the global search section, the user can view those people who are registered in Asian360. The map highlights each city and how many members have joined from that city. Clicking on the city shows all members in that city. Places or countries can be selected from the dropdown lists to zoom in the places.

This is a link that directs to a page that contains the details of the user. The details will be given in different sections as Account Info, Basic Info and Contact Info. The user can edit any of this section by clicking the link ‘edit’ in each section. Users can edit basic, contact, personal, education, courses, work information, summer plans, etc. He can also edit his photo and upload a new one.

This link helps users to view the groups he has added. He has the option to create a new group. The user can search for a particular group by entering the user name and clicking ‘search’.

The users can view their friends through the friends’ section. Users can add friends with help of search and browse option. The invited friends have to accept your friendship request. The accepted friends can be viewed in the friends’ section. The profile and photos of the person in the list can be viewed.

Users can search for a person either by entering his name and searching with in a particular group or by using an advanced search option by entering some more details.

User can add albums through this link. They first have to fill up the album details with name, location, description and album type and also specify whoever should be able to view the album. They can then browse and add the photos to the album (it can be any type images, video file, etc). There are options to edit the album details, edit already added photos, delete albums and add more photos.

This section allows users to view the available groups with details. They can create groups by category and networks (one user can join two networks). They can also share their comments with all members in the groups. Users can give access permission to a group like ’open’, ‘closed’ & ‘secret’ and enable the ‘wall’, ‘discussion’ and ‘photos’. They can add photos in each group, invite their friends or other people and send messages to all members in that group.
My Events
In the events section, users can create events, event images and guest lists for the events. In this page, users have the option of viewing the upcoming events, view past events and view the events of their friends. Users can create an event by networks, category and group. Filters are also available for searching event based on event category and event type.
Users can give access permission to an event like ’open’, ‘closed’ & ‘secret’ and enable the ‘wall’, ‘discussion’ and ‘photos’. They can add photos to each event and invite their friends or other people to the event section. Friends have the option to attending or not attending the event. Users can also send messages to all members in that event.
ADD EVENTS
For adding events, users have to enter Name, Tagline, Host, Description, Event Category, Event Type, Start Time, End Time, Venue, Street, City, Phone, Email, and Access, Event Picture and Guest List.
The event access has three different options.
- The event is open – Anyone can add himself or herself to the guest list without approval. They can view the event information, wall and photos etc.
- The event is closed – People need to be invited to be on the guest list. Everyone can see the event info and request that the admin send him or her an invite. Only those people who have received an invitation can view the walls, photos etc.
- The event is secret – The event cannot be found in searches. These events are open to those with invitation only. People who have not been invited cannot view the walls, photos and event information.
We can invite other members to this event. In the events main page, the following options will be displayed:

Guest List
In the ‘Message’ section, all members and event creators can send messages to all event members. In ‘Invite’ people can be invited to come to the section. The section user can invite his/her friends for the event. User can also search for people to invite for the event. In ‘Edit event’ section, the event creator can edit the event details. He can edit the guest list also. The ‘Remove from my events’ section will remove that event from the member’s list. Members can write walls and add photos. The RSVP will show the status of the member about attending the event. Members can edit the RSVP.

Message
Users can send messages to their friends (message can only be sent to your friends). The ‘My Message’ section will display the messages received/sent by users via the Facebook. Users have the option of deleting the messages also. Users can use the ‘Compose Message’ link to send messages to other members.

My Account
In ‘My Account’, users can change password, change name, change contact email Id, merge account and deactivate account.
Merge Account
If you have two Asian360 accounts, you can merge them here. This will combine your network affiliations, friend lists, photos, groups, events, message boxes, and walls. Enter the information for your second account (the one that you are not currently logged into), to merge it into this one.

Asian360 makes it possible to share as much information as you want by giving you control over who sees what. Users can give options about sharing their personal information with friends and others in their networks. They can also set what personal details they wish or do not wish their friends to see. Users can edit the settings of the network just like he can set whoever can view his profile. Users can control the profile information that people view in his profile. Also users can control whoever can see his contact information of preferred email, AIM Screen Name, Mobile Phone, Land Phone, Current Address and Zip code. He can control which persons can view his wall, groups, courses and online status details.

Users can provide the search option of ‘restricted’ or ‘everyone’ to set his preference of whoever shall be permitted to view his profile. This allows him to control people outside his networks from viewing his networks. The same criteria are also available in the friends’ section.
Block the people of your choice with help of ‘Block People’. Your profile will not be visible to those people you have blocked. You can also remove the block option any time.
Users can hide some information from some specific people with the help of ‘Limited Profile’.
