Google is all set to revolutionize IT world as we know now. This search giant is all geared up to change the way we use computers. Google is now one step closer to over haul the monopoly of windows.

Inside sources reveal that Google is geared up to launch the much awaited G drive storage later this year. According to experts, G drive, an online storage service, which  will allow the users to store all their personal & professional information in the internet, from music files to  spreadsheets to  word processing documents  so that they can access it from anywhere in the world.

G drive is basically a cloud based storage that has two faces, a desktop client that keeps local and online files and folders in two-directional sync via a web interface for accessing your desktop files anywhere and anytime, using any network-enabled computer.

Besides G drive will come closely integrated with other Google services email via Gmail, photos via Picasa, Google docs etc. Thus users will be fully capable of accessing & updating all their information from any device with an internet connection. G drive then becomes a normal extension of Google Apps.

According to an insider source, "With infinite storage, we can house all user files, including: emails, web history, pictures, bookmarks, etc and make it accessible from anywhere (any device, any platform, etc). We already have efforts in this direction in terms of G Drive, GDS, Lighthouse, but all of them face bandwidth and storage constraints today,"

With the advent of G drive, PC as we know will be just be a portal to web, there by becoming software rather than a hardware.
