Cochin – Facebook, one of the top rated social networking sites, is a popular way to reach out and be in touch with your dear ones, in the cyber world. But Bryan Rutberg, never expected the worst among the night mares, when he accidentally shook hands with a cyber-criminal. Topsy-turvy in Bryan’s life started two weeks back, when his family noticed something frightening.  His daughter saw an alarming notice in his Facebook profile. It read “Bryan is in urgent need of help!!!” Hackers had taken over the access to the page. Bryan’s account had become inaccessible as they changed the e-mail address associated with the account.  It took about a day, to regain the access, with the help of Facebook authorities. Facebook has guaranteed that strict action will be taken to maintain the safety of all the users.

“I’ve reconnected with old friends from high school days, college days, graduate school days, people I used to work with, but if this can happen to me, it can happen to anyone,” says Bryan, after the shocking incident.
